John L. Legon
John Louis Legon, 87,
a longtime resident
of Malden, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
John was born in England, after his Parents fled from
Belgium in WWI. By
the age of 2 he had moved to the Boston area with his family, and
they soon settled in Malden where John was raised and educated.
John worked as a tool and die maker for the Car Fastener
Company, and worked with them for over 30 years until his retirement
20 years ago. John
was an athletic outgoing person who play all sports growing up,
and was an avid skier as well.
He is survived by his sons, John L. Legon Jr. and Robert K. Legon of Malden, his brother,
Frank E. Legon of
Hudson, NH, and his nieces, Susan A. Graham
of Amesbury, Norma J. Foster of Pepperell, and Judith E.
Emmanuel of Goode,
VA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma C.(Lessey) , his
parents, Frank J. and Anna (Armirotto)
Legon, , and his brother
