Marguerite Estelle Lenfest

 

Marguerite Estelle Lenfest,  88, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at the Dexter  House Nursing Home in Malden.  She was born in Searsmont, ME and raised there and in Camden, ME, where she was graduated from Camden High School.  She then came to Massachusetts, furthering her education at Bryant & Stratton Commercial School in Boston.  She had been a resident of Malden for over 60 years and a longtime member of the Maplewood Baptist Church in Malden.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Sibley A. Lenfest  of Malden, her son Richard S. Lenfest of Clinton, ME and her daughter-in - law Alexandra  Lenfest of NH and  her two  daughters, Mary Anne and her husband Carlton Wright of Hollywood, FL  and Janice L. and her husband Rev. William Bellaire of Clinton, ME her brothers, Lawrence Richards of Hallowell,  ME and Robert Richards of Denver, CO, her grandchildren, Sandra Gillis and her husband Brian, Kristen Lenfest, Mark Bellaire and his fiancée Erin Quimby, Stephen Bellaire and Susan Fultz and  her husband Larry  and her great-grandchildren Michael and Elizabeth Gillis. 

She was preceded in death by her parents , Charles E.  and Claribell (Cottrell) Richards. 

Visitation will be held at Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Sunday, November 9th,  from 2-4 and 7-9 PM 

Contributions in Marguerite's memory may be made to the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer's Research, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905 or Maplewood Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 729 Salem St., Malden, MA 02148.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10th. at the Maplewood Baptist Church 729 Salem St. Malden, MA at 10:00 AM with Mrs. Lenfest son- in-law  the Rev. William Bellaire officiating the services.  Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
