William Paul Leonard

William Paul Leonard, 70, a retired master mechanic died, suddenly, Saturday, December 23, 2000 at  the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after being stricken at his home with a heart attack. He was born and educated in Watertown and after completing  high school he went to work for the Metropolitan Petroleum Co. of Chelsea where he was employed as a Master Mechanic for over 35 years until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Malden, the Family Motor Coach Assoc. of America and Canada and was a member of IAMAW Machinist Union. Mr. Leonard lived in Malden, MA for 48 Years and was previously from Watertown.

 He is survived by his wife, Ann M. (Santangelo) Leonard of Malden, His daughters, Karen M. Goglia of NH, Denise A. Norman of Malden and Lynn A. Leonard of Melrose. His brother, Daniel Leonard of Brocton, his brother, Thomas Leonard of Worchester, his sister Patricia Coughlin of Dorchester, his brother, Richard Leonard of MN, his sister, Barbara Leonard of WI, his brother Paul Leonard and five grandchildren.

 He was born February 28, 1930 in Watertown, Massachusetts the son of the late William and Mary (Galvin) Leonard.     

 Visitation will be held at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, MA on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM

 Funeral from the Weir - Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem ST. Malden, MA on Thursday, December 28th at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, MA at 10:00 AM with the Rev. John A. Daly, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
