Bernice Elaine Lindstrom

Bernice Elaine Lindstrom, 73, of Malden, died Sunday, August 25, 2002 at her daughter's home in Brimfield, MA after a brief illness. Bernice was born and educated in Revere, MA and after completing high school worked as a secretary for John Hancock Insurance Co. When she married she and her husband moved to North Carolina where they resided for four years. The family then moved to South Hadley, MA where they resided for seven years before settling in Malden thirty six years ago. She then managed the Coffee Shop at Nelsons Bakery in Malden for ten years before going to work for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an office manager for the Department of Mental Health both in Malden and Wakefield retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Eagles Heights Church of Revere.  Mrs. Lindstrom lived in Malden, Ma for 36 Years and was previously from South Hadley and Revere.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine L. Belanger of IL, her daughter, Ruth M. Leth-Steensen of Brimfield, her sisters, Ruth B. Lindsay of Malden,  Olive Nemcovich of NH, Winnie V. Mercer of Saugus and her brother, the Rev. Ralph E. Mulley of FL. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and the beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold V. Lindstrom, her son Ralph V. Lindstrom, of Malden, her brother John K. Mulley, of Saugus, and her brother George A Mulley of CT.

She was born June 25, 1929 in Revere, MA the daughter of the late John K. and Hettie (Sellars) Mulley.     

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Thursday from 5-8 PM

In lieu of flowers contributions in Bernice’s memory may be made to the Quaboag Valley Hospice 103 Fairview Street, Palmer, MA  01069 

Funeral services will be held Friday , August 30, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Stoneham, 457 Main St, Stoneham with Pastor John French of the First Baptist Church of Stoneham officiating.  Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
