
Lloyd Leslie Lister
Lloyd Leslie “Red” Lister, 87, longtime resident of
Malden, , died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at his home. Red
was born in Everett, and then raised in Somerville,
attending the school systems there and graduating with
the Class of 1935. He worked at GE in Lynn before being
drafted into the Navy. Once in the navy, he became a
carpenters mate and served with the "SeaBee's" during
WWII. Following his discharge, he returned to the
Boston area and resumed his employment with GE. He
worked for GE for over 40 years, starting out as an
Inspector, and then becoming a Foreman before retiring
as a Planner for the company.
Red was a past member of the Malden Moose, and the VFW
Post 2369 of Saugus. Hewas also an avid gardener who
took great pride in his tomatoes, and he also enjoyed
playing golf.
He is survived by his daughters, , Nancy L. and her
husband Arthur Bolduc of Malden, and Joan E. Lister of
Malden, her grandchildren, Debra L. Gallagher , Joseph
A. Bolduc, David L. Bolduc, Robert Cinicola, Sandra L.
Lister, and 4 great grand chilren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Winifred, his
parents, James B. and Elizabeth (Ritchie) Lister, his
son Robert L. Lister, his brothers, James, Harry,
John, William, and Robert, and his sister, Nettie
Allen.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home,
144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday from 4 - 7 PM
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on
Thursday, July 14th, at 11 AM. Rev. Rebecca
Kavich Girash of The First Church in Malden,
Congregation will be officiating. Burial will be in the
Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
