Emilio Lodi
Emilio Lodi, 89,
died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, after a
brief illness. Emilio was born in Bologna, Italy and served in the Italian
Army during WWII.
While living in
Italy Emilio worked in the Dental industry for many years. He developed some new
technology that he would later bring to the United States and developed further,
to better the industry. He stayed in the area and opened Metro Dental in Everett
and worked in the industry for many years retiring in 1991.
Emilio would
later marry Mary E. (Rich) Goodwin, also in the dental industry, and employed
later by the Eagle Bank, Everett for twenty-three years. The couple would stay
in Malden and shared the next fifteen years together, until his passing. Emilio
loved fishing and traveled to his favorite spot in Maine many times. The couple
once traveled together to Canada for a restful fishing vacation and also to
Italy four different times.
He is
survived by his wife, Mary E. Lodi of Malden, his daughter Laura Massa and his
granddaughter Antonella Massa. Proceded in death by his two sisters and one
brother.
Private graveside services
were held on Friday morning, June 23, 2006 in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
