Rose Lauretta Madden

Rose L. (Di Palma) Madden, 86, died Saturday, November 23, 2002 at the Woodbriar Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, MA. Rose was born in New Rochelle, NY and at an early age moved to Massachusetts where she was educated in Everett. She was employed as a credit manager for Rogers Jewelry Store of Everett until it’s closing. She then went to work for Weyeth Pharmaceutical of Andover where she was employed as a secretary for twenty years until her retirement in 1980.  Mrs. Madden lived in Wakefield, MA for the past twenty years and was previously from Malden where she had resided for twelve years.

She is survived by her son,  Bernard T. Madden of So. Yarmouth, her daughter, Peggy R. Commito of Reading, her granddaughters; Laura Newcomb of Braintree, Beth Commito of Reading and her great granddaughter, Mikayla Newcomb of Braintree.

She was preceded in death by her husband,  Bernard A. Madden, her sister Dorothy Clows of Lynnfield and her brother, Vincent Di Palma of Medford.

She was born November 6, 1916 in New Rochelle, New York the daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Lantza) Di Palma.

Visitation will be held at the Weir – Mac Cuish  Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday Nov. 25th from 4-8 P.M.

Contributions in Rose’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Immaculaate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden on Tues., Nov 26th at 10:30 AM. with  Father Frank Silva, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
