Richard J.
Maggs II, 19, died suddenly by accident, Thursday evening, June
9, 2005 in Nashua, NH. Richard was born in Boston and educated
in the Malden schools. He played baseball with the Malden Little
League and Babe Ruth League and was on the swim team at Malden Catholic
High School and Malden YMCA. He was an avid Boston sports fan that loved
going to the Red Sox and Bruins games; he enjoyed listening to
his music. After high school he moved to Nashua, NH and was
employed with the City of Nashua in the waste management
department, for the last two years until his passing. Richard
had lived in Nashua, New Hampshire for two years and was
previously from Malden.
Richard is
survived by his mother Patricia L. Thomson of Malden and
her husband Edward M. Thomson. His father Richard J. Maggs of
Everett and his wife Lauren. His grandmother Ruth Oberlander of
Everett, and step-grandmother Natalie H. Thomson of Melrose, his
brothers, Justin B. Maggs and his wife Jennifer of Nashua and
Jared & Lucas Maggs both of Everett and he was the cherished
uncle of Kailee S. Maggs also survived by many loving aunts, uncles
and cousins.
He was
preceded in death by his grandparents, William Maggs, Ann V. and
Chester L. Carrico.
Visitation
will be held at the Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144
Salem St., Malden on Monday, June 13th. from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of
flowers the family has requested contributions in Richards
memory be made to a charity of ones choice.
Funeral
service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in
the Weir – Mac Cuish Funeral Home. The Rev. Randell Ferrara of
the First Church in Malden Congregational will be officiating.
Cremation will follow in Woodlawn Crematory, Everett with
interment in Forest Dale Cemetery at a later date.
