Dorothy Mary Maloney  

Dorothy M.  Maloney,  73, a retired shoe packer for the Converse Rubber Co. of Malden , where she worked for 22 years, died Wednesday, December 6, 2000 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA  after a long illness.  Mrs. Maloney had been a life long resident of Malden. Mrs. Maloney retired from Converse Rubber in 1984. 

She is survived by her daughter  Carol  A. Canan and son-in-law Kenneth W. Canan of Malden, a brother Clarence Ruden of NH,  two granddaughters,  Samanthia  A. Jones of Lynn  and  Tabitha  A. Jones of  Malden also a great-grandson,  Caleb J. Hobart of Lynn. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph P. Maloney, and  her father Segurd Ruden, and her mother Elizabeth Edgar.

She was born May 16, 1927 in Malden, MA 

Visitation will be held at Weir–MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home,  on Thursday, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home.    The  Rev. Martha A. Dominy of First Baptist Church, Malden  will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
