Jane Bowey Mann
Jane B. (Mitchell) Mann,
86, a housewife and a long
time volunteer for the Malden Red Cross Association,
died Sunday morning, September 8, 2002 at
her home in Malden. Mrs. Mann
had resided in Malden for 63 years and
was previously from Everett.
Jane was a graduate of
Everett High School Class of 1935. After high school she married Trueman
B. Mann and they resided in Everett
for a short while and later moved to Malden in
1939. Mrs. Mann raised her three sons and also helped her husband
run his business, the T. B. Mann Contracting of Malden.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas T.
Mann, of Malden,
Bruce J. Mann of Stoneham and
Trueman B. Mann Jr of Malden and her sister Ann Holt of Peabody. She was
also survived by seven
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Trueman B. Mann
Sr., her father Thomas Mitchell, and her mother Marion MacKenzie.
She was born May 7, 1916 in Everett, MA,
the daughter of the late Thomas and Marion (MacKenzie) Mitchell.
Visitation will be held at Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule
Funeral Home 144 Salem St. Malden on
Tuesday, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish
Funeral Home. The Rev. James Cox of Centre
United Methodist Church will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden. Contributions in
Jane's memory maybe made to Hospice Care Inc., 41 Montvale Ave., Stoneham or
