Betty Margey
Betty Margey,
a retired secretary, for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Department of Revenue, where she worked for fifteen years,
died Thursday, June 30, 2005 after a short illness at the Mass
General Hospital in Boston. Betty was born in Malden and
educated in Malden school system. Betty worked as an graphic
artist for a few years and later was employed with the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
She had been a
resident of Revere for the last fifteen years and was formerly
of Everett and Malden. Betty was an avid Boston Red Sox and New
England Patriots fan and loved to travel with her husband.
Betty and Michael were married in St. George's Greek Orthodox
Church in Lynn on September 20, 1981.
She is
survived by her husband Michael J. Margey of Revere, and her
brother Nicholas Belisis of Harwich, and her niece Janet LaBonte
of Harwich.
She was
preceded in death by her father Christos Belisis, and her mother
Sophia Karigianis, and her brother Christy Belisis.
Visitation
will be held at the Weir - MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home,
144 Salem St. Malden on Thursday from 5-9 PM
Funeral from
the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St.,
Malden on Saturday, July 2nd at 8:30 AM followed
by a funeral service in St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 54
South Common St., Lynn at 10AM. Father George Tsoukalas of
St. George’s Church will be officiating. Burial will follow in
Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
