Prudence Bellante Marino
Prudence B. Marino of Malden died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at her home in
Malden, she was 77. Born in Boston on June 10, 1929, she was the daughter of
the late Joseph and Lena (Fici) Bellante. Prudence was raised and educated in
the North End and was a graduate of Girls High School in Boston. She married
her sweetheart, Anthony Marino, in 1949 and the two moved to Everett to begin
their lives together. They spent the next 48 years in marriage together raising
and caring for their family until Anthony’s passing in 1997. Prudence worked as
a secretary for the C.E. Maguire Co., an architectural engineering firm, in
Waltham; she worked there for 26 years until her retirement. Prudence has been
a resident of Malden for the past 30 years and was previously from Everett and
Boston.
She
is survived by her daughters, Stephanie T. Marino of Malden and Lena Ann and her
husband, Leonard Severini of New Hampshire, her siblings, Frank Bellante of
Everett, Ida Privitera of Chelsea, and Joanne Angelo of Malden, and her
grandchildren, John, Anthony, and Brittany Severini, all of New Hampshire.
In addition to her husband and
parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John Bellante.
Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem St. Malden on
Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St.
Joseph’s Church 770 Salem St. Malden at 10 AM. Rev. Richard T. Bakker of St.
Joseph's Church will be celebrating the Mass. Burial will immediately follow in
Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Visitation will be held in the
funeral home on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 4 to 8 PM.
