Elizabeth Eleanor Mattsen Elizabeth Eleanor Mattsen, 75, a retired bookkeeper, died Saturday, February 24th, at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Elizabeth was born and educated in Malden graduating from Malden High School with the Class of "43". When she completed high school she went to work for the City of Malden as a bookkeeper in the treasurers office. She was a lifelong resident of the City of Malden and a Member of the First Lutheran Church of Malden. She is survived by, her husband, Richard C. Mattsen of Malden, her daughters, Barbara E. Grace of Malden and Nancy J. Jones of Saugus, her son, Paul R. Mattsen of Westford, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father Walter Nicholson, and her mother Eleanor (Reynolds) Nicholson. She was born December 4, 1925 in Malden, Massachusetts the
daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor (Reynolds) Nicholson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28,th e at 11:00 A.M. at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home with the Rev. James W. Knowles Pastor of the First Lutheran Church of Malden officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
