Virginia Alys Mac Donald
Virginia Alys Mac Donald,
74, a retired legal secretary for Attorneys Lloyd and
Donald Conn,, where she worked for almost 20 years, died Saturday,
September 23, 2000 at Center for Optimum Care in Wakefield,
Massachusetts. Virginia
was born in Everett, and raised and educated in Malden. She graduated with Malden High Schools class of 1943.
She then entered Burdette College and became a Legal
Secretary. For almost
20 years, she worked with the father and son team of Lloyd and
Donald Conn, and she assisted on the prosecution team for the case
against the Boston Strangler.
She retired 10 years ago, and enjoyed her leisure time with
her husband Rod, and
her grandchildren Cory and Brooke.
Mrs. Mac Donald lived in Melrose, Massachusetts for 40
Years and was previously from Malden.
She
is survived by her husband Roderick, daughter, Rev. Jean Mac
Donald, and
grandchildren Cory Mac Donald-Powden & Brooke Mac Donald-Powden.
She
was born November 30, 1925 in Everett, Massachusetts the daughter
of Fritz and Dorothy (Beasley) Berg.
A memorial service will
be held Wednesday, Rev.
Ann Hockridge of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, VT, will be
officiating.
