Kathleen Ann McFarland
Kathleen Ann McFarland, 55, of Melrose, formerly of Everett and Malden, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Kathleen was born & educated in Everett. She was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1968. After high school she went on to become a hairdresser. She later started with the New England Telephone Co. in Boston until they became Verizon Telephone Co. She was promoted to supervisor and later moved on from the Malden office. She would retire in 1997 after 28 years of service. Kathleen continued on as a hair stylist in her part-time, working at various hair salons in the Everett area. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and knitting. She also loved to travel to the Island of Aruba, and vacationing on Cape Cod . She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Muriel (Demers) McFarland Sr. of Melrose, her sisters, Muriel L. Fallon of Malden, Patricia M. Stornanti of Medford and Mary L. McFarland of Gorham, ME, her brothers Thomas W. McFarland of Winchester, Stephen J. McFarland of Groton, and Kevin A. McFarland of South Lake, TX, as well as 10 Nieces and Nephews, and 6 Grand Nieces & Nephews. Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Friday, Dec 16th, from 3 -7 PM Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2005 from the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church., 770 Salem Street, Malden, at 10:00 AM Fr. William Minigan of St. Joseph will be the Celebrant.. Burial will immediately follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. |
