Beverley Preston Mhoon
Beverley Preston Mhoon, 82, a longtime resident of Malden, died Wed, April 20th. Beverly was born and raised in Melrose, but had moved to Malden during her school years and had finished her education there. After high school, she took employment with Converse Rubber in Malden, where she worked for many years. Throughout her life, Beverley was an active member of the Malden community, and attended many functions for various groups with her husband Charles Mhoon. After the passing of her husband, Charlie, she lived in Chelmsford to be with her son Jim, and then recently she moved to her grandson’s home in W. Springfield, so he could help to look after her. She is survived by her son, James M. Collins of Chelmsford, her grandchildren, Charles A. Collins of W. Springfield and Bonnie Jean Del Greco of Fremont, NH, her sister, Marjorie Mini of Malden, her brother Bruce Preston of California, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Mhoon, her parents, James and Charlotte (O'Connor) Preston, her daughter Charlotte Collins, her son Dennis Collins, and her sisters Dorothy Preston, and her brothers , Russell, and John Preston. Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
