Dorothy Cristine Miller

Dorothy Cristine Miller, 95, a manager for Stoneham Laundry, where she worked for 14 years, died Saturday, January 13, 2001 at Melrose Nuring and Rehab Center in Melrose, Massachusetts. She was born January 23, 1905 in Hillsboro, New Hampshire the daughter of John and Josephine (Duncan) Hartshorn. She moved to Malden at an early age, and completed her eduction there. She continued to live in Malden until 1950. She has been a resident of Harts Hill in Wakefield for the past 25 years, and was treasurer of the Tenants Association there for 15 years.

She is a long time member of the Greenwood Union Church in Wakefield.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Van Tassel of NH, Judith Moran of Wakefield, son Stanley Hirtle of CA ,sister Marie Green of VT, and brother David Hartshorn of VT. Also survived by 8-grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren .

She was preceded in death by her father John Hartshorn, and her mother Josephine Duncan.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
