Greta Jane Milton, 89,
died Monday, January 19, 2004 at her home in Malden, MA.
Greta was born and educated in Freetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
When she completed school she came to the United States settling in Malden. Soon
after she married her husband, George W. Milton, and assisted him in the
operation of the I. Milton & Son, Inc. which at the time was an ice delivery
business. This grew into the wood, coal and range oil business and one of
Malden's most respected fuel oil dealers. She
was active in the business now run by her son G. Edmund until 2003. She was an
active member of the First Church in Malden, Congregational and she and her
husband George were active in square dancing activities through out the area.
Mrs. Milton had lived in Malden, MA for the past sixty-nine years.
She is survived by her sons, G. Edmund Milton of
Malden, David B. Milton of NH, six
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband George W. Milton.
She was born October 27, 1914 in Freetown, Prince Edward
Island, Canada, the daughter of
John and Charlotte (Crozier) Bernard.

Private Funeral Services will be held on Thursday,
January 22nd at the convience of the family with Rev. Rebecca
Kavich Girash Associate Pastor of The First Church in Malden, Congregational
officiating. Burial will be in the
Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
