Margaret B. Mirley
Margaret Ava (Daley) Mirley, 88, died Saturday, September
15, 2001 at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford, MA after a lengthy
illness. She was born in Shirley, MA and was a graduate of Fitchburg High School
Class of 1930. Margaret and her husband Joseph F. Mirley Sr. were married on
Sept. 16, 1939. Mrs. Mirley had lived in Malden since 1940. She worked
for Transitron Electronics Co. in Melrose, as an assembly line
worker for 10 years.
Margaret later was a secretary for Dr. Lyons, on Holden St. Malden
for 15 years and retired in 1978. Mrs. Mirley had been a communicant of
St. Joseph's Church for 40 years. Ma Mirley as she was known, was truly loved by
her family.
She is survived by her three sons and one daughter,
Joseph F. Mirley Jr. of
Malden, Thomas S. Mirley of Malden, James R. Mirley of Malden and Joan M.
Miller of Malden. Her sister,
Marion S. Smith of Norwalk, CT and 7 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Mirley
Sr., her father Francis J. Daley, her mother Bridget F. (Gately) Daley, her
brothers Thomas H. Daley, William Daley, her sister, Mary Curran.
She was born March 22, 1913 in Shirley, MA the daughter of
the late Francis J. and Bridget F. (Gately) Daley.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule
Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Tuesday, September 18th., from 2-4 &
7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Margaret's memory maybe
made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday,
September 19, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. in St.
Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden at 10AM.
Burial will be in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
