Barbara Locklin Moran

Barbara Locklin Moran,  90, died Sunday, October 27, 2002 at the Mc Fadden Memorial Manor in Malden, MA. Barbara was born and educated in Malden and a life long resident. She was the oldest member of the Forestdale Community Church of Malden, having been a member since her birth, and  the Willing Helpers of the church. She was a Cooperator of the Malden Hospital and Past President and Life Member of the Malden Hospital Ladies Aide Assoc. where she had volunteered for over thirty-seven years. She was also a member of the Malden YWCA, the Jaunter’s of the YWCA, Malden Old & New, the Shattuck Art Class of the Old & New, Charter member of the Malden AARP, American Diabetes Assoc., the Heritage Center Group of the Heritage Apartments and the Mass Senior  Action Council.  

She is survived by her sons; John  K. “Jack” Moran of Wakefield, William L. ”Bill” Moran of Malden six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Moran, her father Forrest  H. Locklin, and her mother Lottie H. (Bucknam) Moran.

She was born March 26, 1912 in Malden, MA. the daughter of the late Forrest H. and Lottie H. (Bucknam) Locklin.     

Visitation will be held at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Wednesday from 4-8  PM.

Contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Forestdale Community Church, 235 Forest St. Malden or to the Patient Activities Account at Mc Fadden Manor, 341 Forest St. Malden 02148.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 31, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at the Forestdale Community Church, 235 Forest St. Malden with the Rev. Paul C. Mc Pheeters, Pastor of Forestdale Community Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
