John Stephen Morse

     John S. Morse, of Malden, died suddenly on Friday, October 26, 2007 at his home in Malden, he was 38.  Born on August 30, 1969 in Malden, he was the son of Carol (Sanford) Morse and the late John Morse.  Morsey was raised and educated in Malden.  He was a graduate of Malden High School with the Class of 1987.  John married his sweetheart, Lavon E. Fetters, on March 21, 1998.  The couple spent over 9 years together, raising their two children.  Morsey worked for the Brick Layers Union, Local #3, as a brick layer for the past seven years. He was a member of the Malden East Side A.A. and was also a member of the Eagles of Malden.  John was a fun-loving guy and always enjoyed the time he spent with his friends and family.  He was an especially loving and devoted father and husband. 

     John is survived by his wife, Lavon E. Morse of Malden, his children, Alexandra L. and Stephen J. Morse, both of Malden, his mother, Carol Morse of Malden, his sisters, Carol Howe and her family of Gloucester and Stephanie Raia of Malden, his nieces, Tiffany and Briana Raia, both of Malden, his uncle, Herbert Sanford of Malden, his aunt, Roberta Banks of Ayer as well as many cousins.

     Visitation will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 4 to 7:30 PM.  A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 7:30 PM.  Rev. Martha A. Dominy, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Malden will be officiating.  Interment will be held privately. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
