Murray
Mary P. (MacDougall) Murray, died early Tuesday morning, June
16, 2009 at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Melrose, she was 90.
Mary was born in Medford, on June 8, 1919, the daughter of the
late Harry C. & Alice M. (Dyment) MacDougall. She was educated
in the Medford school system
Mary settled in Malden and raised her three sons. In 1950, she
moved to Billerica and remained there until the family moved
back to Malden in 1967. She resided in Malden until 1980
and moved to Leesburg, FL with her husband Everett H. Murray for
the next eighteen years. In September of 1986, her husband
Everett passed away. Mary later moved to York, Maine for the next
fifteen years. She
returned to Malden in 2006 and resided at the Maplewood Place on
Broadway. She was an avid gardener and loved to read a good
book. She was a member of the First Church in Malden
Congregational and a current member of the First Parish Church,
York, Maine.
Mary is survived by her sons David W. Murray and his wife Paula
of West Yarmouth, Kenneth G. Murray and his wife Laura of
Malden, her daughter-in-law Patricia Murray of Enfield, CT, her
sister Blanche Murray of Malden, her cherished seven
grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett H. Murray, her
son Leonard E. Murray, her sisters, Gladys LeBlanc-McGaghey,
formerly of Canada, and her sister Hazel MacDougall, formerly of
South Carolina.
A private
family memorial service will be held at a later date with
interment in Woodlawn Cemetery with her husband.
