Nicholas Dell Arciprete

 

     Nicholas Dell Arciprete,  died Sunday morning, January 11, 2009  with his family at his bedside at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, he was 70.  Born on November 1, 1938 the son of the late Salvatore & Maria D. (Marizale) Dell Arciprete. Nicholas was born in Malden and educated in the Malden School system.  After high school he started his working career and would later meet and marry his true love, Anna E. Santos. The couple would later marry on November 26, 1961 in St. Francis of Assisi Church and settled in Malden to start a family. They raised three son’s Mark, Brian, Kevin and one daughter Lisa.  Nicholas and Anna shared forty-seven years together.

     Nicholas had a long working career starting with the City of Melrose working as a maintenance engineer at the Melrose High School for twenty-seven years. He also worked for twenty-six years at the Malden Catholic High School,  running the cafeteria, a job he truly enjoyed. Nick was an avid Boston sports fan and a supporter of the schools sports program. He received the “Plus Ultra Award” May 2008, Malden Catholic’s highest award of service.  He enjoyed carpentry and working at home on different projects.  He was a former member of the Loyal Lodge of Moose in Malden.  Nick was a loving husband, father, brother and a cherished grandfather he was very devoted to his family. He also enjoyed traveling to places such as Cooperstown, Atlantic City and Rhode Island.

     Nick is survived by his wife Anna E.  Dell Arciprete of Malden,  his four children, Mark   J. Dell Arciprete  of  Northborough, Brian  J. Dell Arciprete  of Stoneham, Lisa   A. Morey  of Fitchburg and Kevin  M. Dell Arciprete  of Falmouth. He was the loving brother of Camilla Juffre of Saugus, Rose Minutillo of Malden, Marie Paolucci & Evelyn Uvello both of Medford, Eleanor Votto of Malden, Jeanette Sheridan of Saugus, Salvatore Dell Arciprete of Las Vegas, NV. He was the cherished grandfather of Kyle, Jarod, Daniel, Kayla, Paige, Jacob, Noah and many loving nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother’s Rocco, Mario, Americo, Albert and Anthony Dell Arciprete.

     Friends and relatives may call at the Weir – Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144  Salem St.,  Malden, on Wednesday January 14, 2009 from 4-8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Malden Catholic High School, 99 Crystal St., Malden, MA 02148.

     Funeral will be held from the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144  Salem St., Malden on Thursday., January 15, 2009 at  8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford  at 10AM. Interment to follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
