 Judith May Owen

Judith May (Jones) Owen, 64, a longtime resident of Saugus, passed away quietly on Saturday, December 22, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Judy grew up in Cambridge and attended the local schools.  That is where she also met her future husband, James J. Owen, who would become her lifelong partner.  James and Judith shared many years together raising their five children.  Judy enjoyed the occasional night of Bingo and like to go shopping, but her most cherished moments were spent with the company of family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, James J. Owen of Saugus, her children, Agnes K. Angelone of TN, Judith M. Dussault and Mary E. Censabella, both of NH, and James J. Owen, Jr. and George F. Owen, both of Saugus, her siblings, Gladys Judd of Cambridge, Jeanette McMinn of MD, and Helen Wynne of NH, as well as ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Agnes (Frost) Jones, her siblings, George Jones, Walter Jones, Audrey Nally, and Mary Rolls.

Visitation will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 from 4 to 8 PM.

Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10AM.  Father Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Hearts Church will be the celebrant.  Burial will be held privately in the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
