Margaret "Peggy" Katherine Pike
Margaret Katherine Pike,
91, a longtime
resident of Malden, MA, died Thursday, December 09, 2004 at
Fountain Wood in Orangevale, California.
Margaret was born and educated in Woburn. When she
graduated from high school she went to work for Filene's
Department Store in Boston as a clerk. It was there that she met
her husband the late Geoorge E. Pike.
After their marriage they settled in Malden in 1940. She
was a member of The First Church in Malden, Congregational, Malden
Old & New, The Heritage Women's Club Malden YMCA, Malden Art
Guild and a Life Member of both the Ladies Aid Association of the
Malden Hospital and the Appalachian Mountain Club.
She is survived by her
son Charles and his wife Alma Jean
Pike of CA,
and her grandchildren, Christopher
Pike and Russell T. Pike of CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Pike,
her parents, Owen and
Ada (Stevenson) Woods, her sister Ada C. Henricksen, her brother William J.
Woods, and her sister Eleanor Montgomery.
In Malden, MA, A memorial Service will be held on
Friday, Dec 17th,
at The First Church of Malden, Congregational, 184 Pleasant
Street, Malden, Rev. Randall P. Ferrara of The First will be
officiating.
In California, A memorial Service will be held at 10AM on
Wed, Dec 29th, at the Fountain Wood Senior Residence
Center, 8773 Oak Ave, Orangevale.
