Jeannette Marie Pineault

 

 

 

    Jeannette Marie Pineault,  88, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Friday morning, March 3rd,  at the  Woburn Nursing Center in Woburn, Massachusetts.  Jeannette grew up in Malden, and attended   the St. Joseph's Catholic Elementary school before  graduating  from  the Cheverus Catholic High School in Malden.  After high school she worked for a while and would later marry Joseph A. Pineault  in St. Joseph's Church, in Everett on April 6, 1940,  the couple would settle in Malden and raise their four children.

    Jeannette later worked for the Commercial Union Insurance Co. of Boston as a office worker for many years.  She  retired in order to  care for her ailing husband Joseph, until his passing in 1978. She kept active with her knitting and caring for her granddaughter, while her daughter worked for many years  She was fond of bowling, and was a member of the  ladies bowling league in Malden for many years.  She was also  former member of the Ladies Sodality of St. Joseph's Church in Everett.

    She is survived by  her sons, John   A. Pineault formerly of Malden and  Martin   A. Pineault  of TN,  her daughters, R. Jeanne Maffioli  of Malden and Mary  A. Baldwin, formerly of Malden, and her sister, Laurette Surette  of Wakefield, as well as 11 grandchildren  , and 5 great -grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents,  Herman and Laura Muise,  and her sister Evelyn MacDougall.

    Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Monday, March 6th,  from 4-8 PM

    Funeral services will be held from the Weir – MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Tuesday,  March 7th at 9AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, Malden, at  10 AM.  Fr. Daniel J. Hickey of Sacred Hearts  will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn  Memorial Park in Peabody.
