Bessie A. Powers Bessie A. Powers, 98,
died Tuesday evening, April 27, 2004 at the Annemark Nursing Home in
North Revere, MA Bessie was born and educated in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada
and came to the United States in 1920. She's been a resident of Malden for the
last eighty-one years and was a
bank clerk with the former Workingman's Cooperative Bank in Boston and retired
in 1970 after thirty years of service. She was a longtime active member of the
Center United Methodist Church in Malden and
was a member of the Rebecca Lodge #99 Malden and the Malden Chapter of Order of
the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her father the late Charles W.
Powers, and her mother Martha A. (Joudrey) Powers. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 1:45 P.M. in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Rev. James Cox of Centre United Methodist Church will be officiating. |
