Muriel Norma Johnson
Muriel
Norma Johnson, 86, a retired bookkeeper, died Wednesday, October
4, 2000 at J.B. Devlin Nursing Home in Lynn, MA. Muriel was born
and educated in Malden schools and after completing her schooling
became a housekeeper in Belmont for twelve years. She then became
a bookkeeper for the Charlestown Savings Bank where she was
employed for over twenty years until her retirement. She was a
member of the Maplewood Baptist Church of Malden and the Women's
Guild of the Church and was also an active member of the AARP of
Malden. Miss Johnson
lived in Malden, Massachusetts for most of her life.
She
is survived by her sister, Eleanor M. Oldford of Lynn, her
brother,
E. Roland Johnson ME, her sister, Barbara A. Laskey of Medford and
her brother Edward P. Johnson
of Everett.
She
was preceded in death by her sister, Hazel J. Newcomb and her
brother Robert S. Johnson.
She
was born January 26, 1914 in Malden, Massachusetts the daughter of
the late Ernest C. and Mabel A. (Mc Carthy) Johnson.
Visitation
will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street,
Malden on Saturday from 9-11 AM

Funeral
services will be held Saturday, October 7th at 11:00
A.M. at the Weir -
Mac Cuish Golden Rule
Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden with Pastor Joseph DeCosta of
the Maplewood Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
