Joseph Ragusa

Joseph  Ragusa,  47, died suddenly , Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA after being stricken with a heart attack at his home. Joe was born in Germany when his father was stationed there with the U.S. Army. He was educated in Malden schools and after completing school went to work for the Sexton Can Co. of Everett as a laborer. He then started his own plumbing company, The Joseph A. Ragusa Plumbing Co., of Everett, which he has operated for the past twenty-five years.  Mr. Ragusa lived in Everett, Massachusetts for the past twenty years and was previously from Malden.

He is survived by his mother Frieda (Shmidt) Ragusa-Riley, his stepfather Arthur Riley, his brothers, Michael J. Ragusa of Malden, William Ragusa of Malden and Stephan V. Ragusa of Malden, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Ragusa, and his brother Robert Ragusa of Malden.

He was born May 18, 1954 in Hamburg, Germany the son of Joseph and Frieda (Shmidt) Ragusa.     

In lieu of flowers contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at the  Weir MacCuish Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church officiating.  Cremation will follow in Woodlawn Crematory in Everett.
