Celestine Elizabeth Robson
Celestine Elizabeth Robson, "Celly"
,a longtime resident of Malden, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 24,
2006 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, Massachusetts. Celly was
born in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1926, the youngest of 9 children. She moved
to the Malden area at an early age, where she completed her formal education.
She married her sweetheart Clarence when he returned from fighting in WWII, and
the two settled in the Malden area to raise their 2 sons. They shared over 50
years together until Clarence's passing in 1998. Celly was an avid reader, and
liked the challenge of a good crossword puzzle, and also enjoyed quiet time in
her home.
She is survived by her
children, Ronald Robson and his wife Karen of Everett, and Daniel E. Robson
and his wife Susan of Malden, her brothers Camille Babin of Stoneham, Theodore
Babin of Canada, her sister Gertrude Surette of Nova Scotia, and her
grandchildren, Bryan and Michael.
She was preceded in death by
her husband Clarence E. Robson, formerly of Malden.
Funeral services will be held
Friday, January 27, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral
Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery,
Malden.
Visitation will be held at the
funeral home on Thursday, January 26th, from 4 – 8 PM.
