James Paul Ruggiero

     James P. Ruggiero of Tewksbury died suddenly April 5, 2006 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, he was 47.  Born on April 19, 1958 in Malden, he was the son of Louise (Boudreau) and the late Joseph P. Ruggiero.  Jim was a graduate of Malden High School with the Class of 1975.  After high school, he went to work as a heavy equipment operator, joining the I.U.O.E. Local 4, Boston.  He married his sweetheart; Denise A. (Micale) on May 21, 1983 in Malden.  Jim was currently working for the J.F. White Co. of Canton at the time of his passing.  Jim was a member of the I.U.O.E. Local 4 Heavy Equipment Operators Union of Boston for twenty-eight years.  He was a dedicated family man; everything he did was for his family and everything came first when it came to his family.  Jim absolutely loved the outdoors.  He would constantly be working in his garden or landscaping his yard.  Jim was known by his family and friends as a jack-of-all-trades handyman.  He would always be involved with working and fixing up around his house.  Jim was also an avid football fan and a dedicated Patriots fan.  Mr. Ruggiero lived in Tewksbury for the past eleven years and was previously from Malden.

     He is survived by his wife, Denise A. Ruggiero of Tewksbury, his children, James P. Ruggiero, Jr. and Gia M. Ruggiero, both of Tewksbury, his mother, Louise Ruggiero Malden, his siblings, Paul Ruggiero and his wife Katherine of Wilmington, Diane Ruggiero of Malden, Joanne Ruggiero of Malden, Elise and her husband Timothy Donovan of Malden, Joseph Ruggiero of Whitman, and Theresa Ruggiero of Revere, his wife’s parents, Vincent Micale and his wife Marie of Malden, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph. P. Ruggiero.

     Funeral from the Weir~MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden will be held on Monday, April 10, 2006 at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St. Malden at 10 AM.  Fr. William Foster will be the celebrant.  Burial will immediately follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, April 9th from 4-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim’s memory may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham MA 01701.
