Marlene Kathryn Russell
Marlene Kathryn Russell,
61, died Monday, May 26, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in
Melrose, MA. Marlene was born and educated in Malden graduating Malden High
School with the “Class of 1959”. Throughout her primary and high school
education she took baton and dance classes and after graduating high school
opened The Russell School of Baton & Dance. She operated
this studio on Lebanon Street in Maplewood for sixteen years before moving it
into her home and retired in 1986. She was a member of St./ Joseph's Parish in
Malden and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary
of the American Legion Post 69 of Malden.
Mrs. Russell was a life long resident of Malden, MA.
She is survived by her husband William
B. Russell of Malden of Malden, her daughters; Kelly Ann Kerr of
Lynnfield, Kimberly Marie Russell of Malden and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Henderson,
her mother Kathryn (Pike) Henderson and her brother Charles W. Henderson.
She was born November 11, 1941 in Malden, MA the daughter
of the late John and Kathryn (Pike)
Henderson.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144
Salem Street, Malden on Wednesday, May 28th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at
10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. with Rev. Richard T. Bakker of St. Joseph's
Church officiating. Burial will be
in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
