Marian E. Porcaro- Safford (Greco) Marian E. Porcaro- Safford, 76, died Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at the Beaumont Nursing Home in Westborough, MA. Marian was born in Cambridge and educated in Chelsea schools graduating Chelsea High School with the Class of 1946. Marian was a long time member of St. Joseph's Parish in Malden and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all the wonderful friends she has made throughout the years and her years at Granada Highlands in Malden. She is survived by her son, Steven A. Porcaro of Southboro, her daughter, Nancy Porcaro of New York and her grandchildren Cameron, Brittany, Haley and Kathleen Porcaro. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mario Greco of Medford, her sister Mary Gesualdo of Wakefield and her brother Louis Greco of Somerville. She was born August 18, 1928 in Cambridge, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Agripino and Maria (Zimbone) Greco. Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street Malden, MA on Friday Nov. 5th from 4-8 PM Contributions in Marian’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge MA 02140 Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church., 770 Salem St. Malden at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. William J. Minigan, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church be officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
