Elizabeth Catherine Santangelo

Elizabeth Catherine Santangelo, 87, a retired clerk for Commonwealth of Massachusettes, where she worked for 5 years, died Monday, January 15, 2001 at Mass General Hospital in Boston. She was born January 21, 1913 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Arcangelo and Lucia (Mustone) Ruggiero.

She was raised and Educated in Malden. Mrs. Santangelo lived in Malden for over 80 years. She is a longtime member of St. Josephs Church in Malden.

She is survived by sons Frank Santangelo of Malden and Michael Santangelo of Malden, daughers Ann M. Leonard of Malden, and Gloria Speranza of Malden, sisters Grace Cantone of Malden, Phyllis Pinciaro of Stoneham, and Louise Smithell of Malden and brother Anthony Ruggiero of Malden, .

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, her father Arcangelo Ruggiero, her mother Lucia Mustone, her brothers Alexander Ruggiero, Domenic Ruggiero, her sisters Rose DiMinico, and Josephine Guiliano.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church. Rev. John A. Daly, Pastor of St. Joseph will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
