Ruth H. Sawyer Ruth H. Sawyer, 85, died on March 21, 2004 in Arlington, VA of kidney failure. Mrs. Sawyer lived in Malden for eighty-one years before moving to Arlington in 2000. Ruth was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1937 and chairperson of her class's 25th. reunion. Mrs. Sawyer worked as a dental assistant for dentists in Malden and Melrose in the 50's and 60's. She was a long-time resident of The Heritage Apartments on Pleasant St., Malden before moving to Virginia and was an avid knitter and quilter. Mrs. Sawyer was proceeded in death by her husband H. Emery Sawyer in 1990. She is survived by her daughter Jane Misheloff (Steve Klonsky) of Arlington, VA her granddaughter, Adrienne Czechowski (Aaron) of Baltimore, and a great-grandson. Ruth is also survived by her step-son Donald E. Sawyer (Hazel) and their daughter Don Elaine, husband John Keller and two children all of Tampa, FL. Friends and relatives are welcomed to attend a graveside service at the Locust Grove Cemetery, Locust Grove Rd. Merrimac, MA on Wednesday, April 21st. at 12 noon. Arrangement are under the care of the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden.
