Obituary Notice Stephanie "Stella" Scarpaci Stephanie "Stella" (Velardo) Scarpaci, 87, a housewife died Monday, January 14th, in Lynn. Stephanie was born and educated in E. Boston. She was a long time dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Church in Malden. She had moved to Malden several years after marrying her husband, the late Daniel Scarpaci, and the two shared 54 years together. She also enjoyed spending her summers on Cape Cod. She is survived by her sons Robert Scarpaci of Malden, Richard Scarpaci of Saugus, and Dennis Scarpaci of Topsfield, her brother Leo Velardo of Salem, NH, and her sister Jean Arciero of Medford. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, her father Anthony Velardo, her mother Maria( Guarnera) , and her son Anthony Scarpaci . She was born January 28, 1914 in E. Boston, the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria (Guarnera) Velardo. Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday, Jan 16th, from 4-9 PM Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 17, 2002 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church. Father Richard T. Bakker of St. Josephs Church will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.
