Patricia Ann Scopa

   

Patricia A. (O'Connor) Scopa,  59,  died Thursday evening, December 25, 2003 at her home in Woburn, MA.  Mrs. Scopa  was born in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1962.

After raising her family she worked for  Bull H/N Co.  formerly Honeywell Corp. in Billerica  as an executive secretary for five years. Pat then worked for Parametric Technology Corp. in Waltham as an executive assistant for five years and later worked for Brandies University for a year and a half.  In November of 1990 Patricia and  Ron A. Scopa  were married.  They settled in Woburn were they  resided together for the next thirteen years.   Mrs. Scopa was a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Malden and was raised in the Maplewood Section of Malden.  She was formerly of  Bedford were she resided for over  fourteen years.  She was an active member of  St. Michael's Church in Bedford  and  also taught Sunday school.

Pat was an avid walker, loved shopping and eating chocolate and  loved going to musicals and watching  figure skating.

She is survived by her husband  Roland "Ron" A. Scopa of  Woburn, her daughter,  Beth M. Stadtlander of  Jericho, VT, her son, Patrick J. Denaro of  Medford, her daughter, Krista A. Mara of Arlington, her   stepdaughter,  Lauren A. Smith of Lunenburg and her stepson,  Steven M. Scopa of  Malden. She was the cherished grandmother of  Fritz and Graham Stadtlander and  Benjamin Denaro.

She was preceded in death by her father John A. O'Connor, and her mother Irene E. (Brady) O'Connor.

Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Sunday from 3-7 PM.

Contributions in Pat's memory may be made to the Healthcare Dimensions Hospice,  764 Main St.,  Waltham, MA 02451-0603.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Josephs Church, 770 Salem St., Malden on Monday, December 29th. at 10 AM.   Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery at a later date.
