John Anthony Sica

 

John A. Sica, 54, died Wednesday evening, July 20, 2005 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after a long illness.  John was born in Stoneham and raised and educated in Malden. After high school, he worked for the Lewis Candy Co. of Malden and later with Palmer-Severini Co. in Malden. He later, along with his family, cared for his parents as they grew older. John was member of the Mystic Valley Gun Club of Malden and was a longtime ham radio operator, his call signal was NI~GBC.  John was a life long resident of Malden.

He is survived by his brother, Richard T. Sica and his wife Debbie of Malden, his brother-in-law Salvatore Graffeo of Saugus, his niece Jadeane Sica  of Malden, his nephew’s Richard  T. Sica   Jr. of  Malden, Charles Graffeo and his wife Christine of Saugus, Salvatore Graffeo Jr. of Saugus, Anthony Graffeo of Saugus, grandniece  Juliana Bernbaum  of Malden, grand nephew John Bernbaum  Jr. of Malden,  Nicholas Graffeo of Saugus, CJ Graffeo of Saugus, and Genevieve Cataldo  of Saugus.

He was preceded in death by his father Domenic Sica Jr., and his mother Mary DeMartino, and his sister Edith L. Graffeo.

Visitation will be held at the Weir ~MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St.,  Malden on Friday  July 22, 2005  from 4-8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the Weir~Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden.  Fr. Richard T. Bakker of St. Josephs Church will be officiating.  Cremation will follow in the Woodlawn Crematory, Everett.
