Caroline Anastasia Spence

Caroline Anastasia (Kwiatek) Spencer, 99, died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at the Mc Fadden Memorial Manor in Malden, MA.  Caroline was born and educated in Chelsea. Caroline, her parents and eight siblings survived the Great Fire of Chelsea in 1908 but lost their home and all of their possessions in the conflagration. After her marriage she moved to Everett where she resided for twenty-three years until settling in Malden in 1957.She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Malden.  Mrs. Spencer lived in Malden for forty-five years and was previously from Everett and Chelsea. .

She is survived by her son, Albert O. Spencer, her daughters Carolyn J. Rachels and  Barbara Mini, her sister Frances Kennan. seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert O. Spencer, her sisters Agnes Coulombe, Mary Hanson, Vera Deane, Anna Winsor and Josephine Moynihann and her brothers Andrew and Anthony Kwiatek.

She was born April 15, 1903 in Chelsea, MA the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia (Wajtowitz) Kwiatek.     

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Wednesday April 15th from 9-10:30 AM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, 297 Main St., Malden with the Rev. Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
