Thelma Louise Spinney
Thelma Louise Spinney,
63, who worked for many years as a nurses
aide for various nursing homes around Malden, died Sunday, February 03, 2002 at
Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Thelma
was born and raised in Charlestown, attending the Charlestown school system.
She moved to Malden after high school, and remained there throughout her
life. Thelma was an avid bingo
player, and loved to travel. She
also had a deep love of country music.
She is survived by her former husband Robert Spinney, her
children, Robert L. Spinney Jr. of
Malden, Wayne G. Spinney and his wife Brenda L. of Melrose, Joanne M.
Spinney of E. Boston, Mark H. Spinney and his wife Candace A. of Texas,
and Thelma L. Spinney of Malden. She
is also survived by her brother,
Thomas Evers of Melrose, her
sisters Alice Corcoran of Shirley and Maureen Wedge of Charlestown, her brother
James Evers of Quincy,
and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Alice
(McCloud) Evers, her sister Evelyn
Jones, and her brother Edward Evers..
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144
Salem Street, Malden on Monday, February 4th, from 7-9 PM , and
on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2002
at 9:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart
Church, 279 Main Street, Malden. Rev. Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Heart
Church will be officiating. Burial
will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
