Marie Tamasi
Tara Marie
(Newman) Tamasi, 40, died peacefully at home Tuesday, April
05 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tara
was born in Queens, NY, and at an early age moved to Malden
where she was raised and educated. She graduated from
Malden H.S. with the class of 1983, before attending
Franklin Pierce College, where she received her Bachelors
Degree. She was working for the Dufrense-Henry Marketing
Firm as a Marketing editor. She was also a skilled writer
who wrote books and screenplays.
She is
survived by her Fiancé, Joseph Petruzzella of Saugus, her
mother, Virginia (Fennell) and husband Edward Roach of
Randolph, her father Thomas Van Allen, her sisters,
Patricia Newman of Malden, Kathleen Millerick and husband
Henry of Saugus, and Maureen Sullivan and husband Stephen
of Chicago, her brother Thomas Newman of Malden, and her
niece and godchild, Fallon Millerick.
Visitation
will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem
Street, Malden, on Thursday, April 7th, from 2-4 PM and 7-9
PM.

A
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 8, 2005
at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street,
Malden. Rev. Richard T. Bakker of St. Joseph's Church will
be officiating.
