Audrey Gwendolyn Taylor

Audrey Gwendolyn Taylor,  70, a  longtime resident of Everett, died Monday, December 06, 2004 at Woodbriar Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, Massachusetts.  Audrey was born in Revere, MA, after her parents settled there having come from Newfoundland, Canada.  She grew up in Revere and graduated from Revere High School with the Class of 1952.  She moved to Everett after marrying her sweetheart, Edward Taylor, and the two would share over 40 years together raising their family. 

After high school, She went to work managing the family business, Clarence Patten Inc, a steel construction company in Revere.  She worked there for 25 years until the business closed.  She then took employment with Index Systems INC, as an Information Technologist, and worked there until her retirement in 1993.

Audrey was very active in her church, the Trinity Evangelical Church of N. Reading, and participated in the Keenagers, as well as the Women's Bible study group of the church.  She also enjoyed crafts including knitting and crocheting, but truly her greatest joy was her family. 

She is survived by her husband Edward Taylor of Everett, MA, her son,  Edward Taylor II  of North Reading, MA, her daughter Ruth Taylor White of Everett, her sisters Daisy Flurry of Everett and  Ina Pottle of Seabrook, NH,  and her grandchildren, Linsey Tayor White, Elizabeth Ashley Taylor, and Edward Baldwin Taylor

She was preceded in death by her parents,  Clarence and Ethel (Porter) Patten.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden,  on Wednesday, Dec 8th,  from 4-8 PM

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill Street, North Reading. Pastor George D. Ray of Trinity Evangelical Church will be officiating.  Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
