Ralph Angelo Teneriello Sr.

     Ralph A. “Chickie” Teneriello, Sr. died Friday, October 27, 2006 at his home in Malden with his loving family by his side, he was 70.  Born April 11, 1936 in Malden, he was the son of Phyllis (Scacchi) Teneriello and the late Joseph Teneriello, Sr.  Chickie was raised and educated in Malden.  He entered into the US Air Force during the Korean War on May 25, 1954 in Boston.  He served his country honorably during his service time.  For his efforts, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Good Conduct Medal.  Ralph had attained the rank of Airman 1st Class when he was discharged on November 14, 1957 in Scott Air Force Base, IL.  Chickie married his sweetheart, Patricia W. Shields on June 6, 1959 in Sacred Hearts Church, Malden and settled in Malden to raise their family.  The couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this past year.  Chickie went to work as a machinist for Maintain Inc. in Woburn.  He worked there from 1965 until it closed in 1986.  Afterwards, he went to work with his brother at T & T Anodizing as a truck driver until his retirement in 2001.  Chickie loved Boston sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots.  He also enjoyed visiting and spending time in Foxwoods and Suffolk Downs.  Chickie had a wonderful and great sense of humor and was always joking around with family and friends. 

     He is survived by his wife, Patricia W. Teneriello of Malden, his mother, Phyllis (Scacchi) Teneriello of Malden, his children, Ralph A. Teneriello , Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Malden and Marion (Teneriello) Dunn and her husband, Thomas Dunn, Sr. of Melrose, his siblings, Joseph Teneriello, Jr. of Dracut, Robert, Peter, and Christine Teneriello, all of Malden, his grandchildren, Steven and Tammy Teneriello, both of Malden, Thomas, Jr., Elizabeth, and Ryan Dunn of Melrose, his great-grandson, Christopher Teneriello of Malden as well as many loving nieces and nephews.  Chickie was also the best friend of Howard (Charlie) Thompson of Boston,

     Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 8:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 770 Salem St. Malden at 10AM.  Rev. Richard T. Bakker of St. Joseph's Church will be the celebrant.  Burial will immediately follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 4-8 PM.
