Marion Eugenia
Booker-Towle, 85, a resident of Effingham Falls, NH, died
Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at New England Rehabilitation
Hospital in Woburn. Marion was born and raised in Effingham
Falls, NH. While growing up in NH, she attended the Parsons
Field Seminary where she graduated from High School. She then
went to Portland, ME, where she attended Business School. In
1940, she married her sweetheart, Chester Booker. She and
Chester lived in Effingham Falls, Portland, and Malden MA
raising their family. They shared 41 years together until
Chester’s passing in 1981. In 1983, Marion retired from the
County Court system where she had worked as the Deputy Clerk of
Courts in the Superior Court House in Ossipee, NH. Several
years later, Marion found love again and married Loring Towle,
and they enjoyed several year until Loring’s passing about 5
years ago.
Marion was a
dedicated member of the First Congregational Church in
Ossipee, NH. She was active with several groups within the
church, and helped to publish their weekly bulletins. In
addition, she was a long time member of the Red Hat Society.
Marion was a very active person. She had been taking flying
lessons for several years after taking flight over her home
town, and had flown as recently as July. She also enjoyed
sailing and many other out door activities that kept her busy.
She is
survived by her daughter Marilyn Francis, her daughter Sandra
A. and husband Wescott Graves, her step-son Robert Towle, her
step - son David Towle, her grandchild Christopher and wife
Barbara Graves, her grandchild Andrew Graves, her grandchild
Teresa (Francis) and husband William Restuccia, her grandchild
Mark Francis, her great grandchildren Tabitha,Timothy, and
Rebecca. She was also survived by many friends and “adopted”
grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by her first husband, Chester Booker, her
second husband, Loring Towle, and her parents, William M.
and Eugenia (Mitchell) Fulton.

A memorial
service will be held in the First Congregational Church of
Ossipee, 50 Route 16b, Center Ossipee,
