Emily Carvello Valerio Emily Carvello Valerio of Lynn died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the Lawrence Manor Nursing Center in Lynn, she was 92. Born on May 19, 1913 in Cambridge, Emily was the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria (Souza) Valerio. Emily was educated in Somerville schools until she left to care for her ill mother. She spent her whole life caring for her mother and her family. Miss Valerio lived in Lynn for the past 5 years and she was previously from Malden and Somerville. Emily is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Olive Banda, Marie Ready, and Nellie Lawrence and her brothers Joseph, Anthony, and Frank Valerio. Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main St. Malden at 10 AM. Rev. Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Hearts will be the celebrant. Burial will immediately follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 6-8 PM.
