Wendi-Jean Evangeline Vaughn



Wendi-Jean Evangeline Vaughn, 31, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away suddenly on Monday. She was born 1976 in Stoneham, the daughter of Donald K. and Dorothea L. (Child) Vaughn. Wendi-Jean was raised in Malden, and was a graduate of Malden High School with the class of 1994. After high school, she attended Bunker Hill Community College, where she studied Communications and Business. She soon took employment with Ocean Glass, and the moved to Modern Glass where she was responsible for bookkeeping and accounting. A little over a year ago, Wendi-Jean took employment with the Herb Chambers Infinity dealership, where she worked as the Internet Sales Manager.
Wendi-Jean was a member of The First Church of Malden, Congregational, and while in high school, she was very active with the youth groups within the church. She loved music, especially singing, and often did promotions for bands. She enjoyed attending concerts with her cousin Tenny, always relishing the opportunity to hear music live. Wendi-Jean also had an affinity for astrology.

She is survived by her parents, of Donald K. Vaughn and wife Ellen L Byrne of Revere, and Dorothea L. (Child) Vaughn and husband Charles E. Brown of Malden. Her siblings, Adam M. Vaughn of Malden, Justin K. Vaughn of Malden, Stephanie R. Byrne of Revere, and Gina D. Byrne of Malden, her cousin, Tenny T. DiCarlo of Everett, her niece and nephew, Jacob and Delia Biancardi of Revere, her aunt Catherine M. Vaughn of Revere, her uncle, Charles T. Child II of Malden, Her grandmother, Jeannette O'Rourke of Malden, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug 15th, at 10AM at the funeral home.  Rev. Randall Ferrarra of The First Church of Malden, Congregational will be officiating the services. Interment will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4 - 8 PM.
