Michael James Ventola

Michael James Ventola,  62, a  lifelong resident of Malden,  died Friday, May 07, 2004 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. He was born August 15, 1941 in Malden, the son of Orlando and Eleanor (Nagle) Ventola.   Michael was raised and educated in Malden.  He was an longtime member of the painters union, District Council #35, and worked as a painter until his health forced his retirement.  Michael was an active  member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie # 893, in Malden.   He was also a member and Past Commodore of the Broadsound Tuner Club, and a member of Sacred Hearts Church. Michael was an avid outdoorsman.  He really enjoyed hunting, as well as boating and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years,  Barbara A. (Dunbar)  of Malden, MA,  his daughter Barbara Ventola  of Malden, his son Scott M. Ventola of Princeton, his daughter Teresa Ventola  of Malden, his brother Orlando A. Ventola  of NH, his sister Carmella Rueben of OR,  and his grandchildren Miranda L., Nicholas D., Lyndsey R.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden,  on Sunday from 4 - 8 PM

Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on  Monday, May 10, 2004 at  9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at  10:00 A.M. at Sacred Hearts Church. Fr. Daniel J. Hickey of Sacred Hearts Church will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
