Jessie Elizabeth Weichmann

J. Elizabeth “Liz” Weichmann, 84, a retired bookkeeper, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at the East Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea, MA. Liz was born in Stoneham and educated in Everett schools where she has been a lifelong resident. When she completed school she went to work for Andrew Dutton Co. of Boston as a bookkeeper and was employed there for forty-five years until her retirement in 1980. When she retired she became a day care assistant at the Little Rascals  Day Care Center of Malden where she worked for another ten years. She was an active member of the Mystic Side Congregational Church of Everett, Life Member of Glendale Chapter #83 Order of the Eastern Star and Ione Lodge #129 Rebecca's of Everett. She also received several community service awards for her volunteer work at the Dexter Nursing Home in Malden.  Miss Weichmann was a life long resident of Everett.

She is survived by several cousins.

She was born October 17, 1917 in Stoneham, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Carl F. and Jessie (Shanks) Weichmann.     

Visitation will be held at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 9, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mystic Side Congregational Church, 420 Main Street, Everett  with the Rev. Robert Mackie of Mystic Side Congregational Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
