Russell N.
Werner died Sunday morning, November 25, 2007 at Lawrence
Memorial Hospital in Medford, he was 79. Born on November 16,
1928 the son of the late Frederick W. & Blanche K. (Kendall)
Werner. Russell was born in Medford and educated in the Medford
School system. He was a graduate of Medford High School Class of
1946. Russell continued his education at Wentworth Institute in
Boston for the next two years. On June 6, 1981 Russell married
his longtime sweetheart Esther C. Chase. The couple were married
in Maplewood Baptist Church, Malden and remained in Medford.
Russell worked
in the electronics industry for the former Compu-graphic Company
and later with the AGFA Company in Wilmington as a Quality
Control Inspector. He worked for the company over ten years
until his retirement in 1994. Russell was a very active member
of the First Baptist Church in Medford. He was a church Deacon
and served communion to many of the shut-in the Medford area. He
was also active with the Maplewood Baptist Church in Malden.
Russell was a member of the Woburn Masonic Lodge, the Eastern
Star of Woburn and the Aleppo Temple Shriner’s in Wilmington.
Russell was an avid gardener, spending many hours working in his
back yard. Russell and Esther had enjoyed many cruises to
different parts of the world and had just recently, this summer
had enjoyed a great trip to Bar Harbor, Maine.
Russell is
survived by his wife Esther C. Werner and many of his loving
church members.
He was the
brother of the late Milton Werner formerly of Maine.
Relatives and
friends are invited to visiting hours at the Weir~ MacCuish
Golden Rule Funeral, 144 Salem St., Malden on Tuesday, November
27, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9.

Memorial Fund, 729 Salem St., Malden, MA 02148.
Funeral
service will be held in the Maplewood Baptist Church, 729 Salem
St., Malden on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. The
Rev. Gary L. McClenthen will be officiating. Burial will be
in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
