Alice Marie Wharton
Alice Marie Wharton, 82,
a secretary for SS Pierce, Autimatica
Radio, where she worked for years,
died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the East Pointe Rehabilitation Center in
Chelsea. Alice was born in Cambridge.
She was raised and educated in Somerville, graduating from Somerville
High School with the class of 1939. She
enjoyed crocheting and knitting, as well as the occasional game of Bingo.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice M. and her husband
Jerry W. Utter , her son Eugene F.
Wharton of Melrose, her son Richard L. Wharton
of Bedford, Cynthia C.and her husband Richard Cookson of Andover, her brothers
Armand A. Beauchemin of N.
Yarmouth, and Eugene O. Beauchemin
of Lexington, her sister Clair B.
Beauchemin-Boeri of Burlington, as
well as 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Wharton, her
parents Armand and Justina (Martin)
Beauchemin, her son John A. Wharton, and her brothers Ernest A. Beauchemin and Arthur E. Beauchemin.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday , April
21st, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. in Sacred Hearts Church. Fr. Daniel J. Hickey of Sacred
Hearts Church will be officiating.
